The Woodstock Park District has approved reopening our Kishwaukee Park / Davis Road launch site!
In order to make up for missed launches and provide more opportunities to fly, we will be flying TWICE a month. Launch dates are Saturday, July 11, July 25, August 8, August 22, September 12 and September 26. All launches run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
A summary of the special rules for participating due to COVID-19 include:
- Park with adequate spacing between other cars.
- Wear a mask and practice social distancing.
- Bring along antiseptic wipes and hand sanitizer.
- We will maintain a registration table; please sign in with your name and contact information.
- Launch set up will be “Misfire Alley”. Bring your own launch system and pad.
- Announcements will be broadcast on the PA system.
- There will be no flight cards used. The launch director will ask you for your flight information prior to launch.
- For NAR competitors, all NRC events will be supported, and Virtual NARAM events are allowed at the July and August launches.
