Fox Valley Rocketeers – 2022 and 2023 NAR National Champion Section

The Fox Valley Rocketeers had fantastic weather with mostly sunny skies and winds under 5 MPH. We flew a total of 55 flights, pushing our year to date total to 245. Mike Moran leads all flyers in 2019 with 45 flights.
As a club, since our founding, we have now had 4,998 flights, meaning someone one will fly our 5,000th rocket at the July 13 launch where we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission.

Our June 22 launch, rescheduled from June 15, had pretty decent weather with light breezes less than 10 MPH. Members flew 37 rockets. Mike Moran currently leads all flyers with 32 flights thus far this year. The club total now stands at 190, 68 flights ahead of 2018’s pace.
The Fox Valley Rocketeers flew 45 flights at today’s launch, in pretty decent weather conditions. There were some breezes and unfortunately 2 rockets were lost. Our flight total for 2019 now stands at 152, 51 ahead of last year’s pace. Projecting ahead, someone will be flying the 5,000th flight for the club sometime in 2019!
