Who we are

We are a new group of model rocketeers in the Fox Valley area of Northern Illinois. We started this endeavor in November 2005 and have incorporated as NAR section 683.  We fly in the spring and fall at the Stephen's farm in Marengo and during the summer, we fly at Raintree Park in Woodstock.

July Events

Our next meeting will be held on Monday, July 7 at the McHenry Public Library, 809 N Front St. McHenry, IL.  Here is a Map.  As always, we like to see rockets or other rocket related stuff for show-and-tell, so bring anything new you've built or maybe just something you find interesting.

The next FVR Launch is currently scheduled for 1pm, Saturday, July 12 at Raintree Park in Woodstock.  Hopefully we have better weather for the July launch! For those that need it, here is a Map.

A lot of pictures were taken at our May 2008 launch.  Be sure to see our Photos page for links to them.

Press Coverage

To start 2008 off in the public eye, the Daily Herald has coverage of our launch at Marengo in November.

The Woodstock Independent had a nice article about us, check out the Reports page.

The Northwest Herald has a nice write-up about our June launch - Check out the link!

From the April '06 meeting, a couple of people commented they wanted copies of the FVR logo for either decals or wallpaper. Click here to download a zip file that has a good copy of the logo in GIF format and two wallpapers. Glad everyone thinks the logo is OK.
